This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
This is where I put anything that doesn't belong to nor is intended for any preexisting property. In other words, I totally pulled all of these out of nowhere, though they may have been inspired by other things, i.e. real animals.
The Dark Army is a story I am currently working on, and have been working on for about 7 years now. It is difficult to summarize what it is about without leaving out crucial information (I am a rather detail-oriented person), but essentially, the centerpiece is an intricate universe with ever-expanding detail and unique species and cultures. This developed universe, called Rahtouri, is separate from our own universe; but our universe does exist within The Dark Army's lore, and in fact humanity is a major component in the first story.
As a result, I am developing two separate timelines (one involving Rahtouri and one involving our universe) that are largely independent of each other until one creature from Rahtouri meddles in Earth's biosphere.
Notes:
Earth-side Timeline
The Earth-side Timeline is identical to actual history with a few minor exceptions concerning the detainment of a Rahtourian creature. However, the Earth-side Timeline diverges from our own on December 21st, 2012.
All major characters in the Earth-side Timeline are human. A small few are genetically modified with animal DNA via a top secret supersoldier program.
The Earth-side Timeline only intersects with the Rahtourian Timeline via the interactions of two characters; one being the protagonist of Earth-side and the other being an important character who cannot be revealed due to spoilers.
Rahtouri Timeline
The Rahtourian Timeline stretches back an unknown number of years, likely beyond a quadrillion (however, the main history begins about 50 billion years ago). People of Rahtouri do not age beyond maturity, and therefore they are immune to death from age.
Events of Rahtourian History lead to the construction of our own universe, and eventually setting the course of the Earth-side Timeline.
There are five developed sapient species, each with their own unique physiologies, cultures, histories, and psychologies. There are more sapient species over the course of Rahtourian History, but all sans the modern five are extinct.
The Modern Five
Rekuans
Skalots
Shaneiks
Leimuses
Extinct Sapient Species
Pehrasiils
Dolos
Ancient Invertebrates (actually several species)
The inhabited or once-inhabited lands of Rahtouri are pretty much fully planned out, with ecosystems and local cultures in mind.
This is the very same story that I called an artist for (and found one). I figured I may as well give a glimpse of what I've been working on for all this time.
I engage in a variety of artistic endeavours, such as drawing traditionally, coloring digitally, writing fanfiction, original universe-building, and spriting. I am also completely self-taught, having been drawing since before I can even remember.
Feel free to thank me for a favorite, because I do not favorite particularly often.
My interests can be seen below, but I should be able to provide you with more insight to them here.
MOVIES I LIKE
I always love this section, because I actually like any kind of movie except romance or chick flick.
MUSIC I LIKE
Metal of the more melodic subgenres (plus black metal). Do not try to discuss country, pop, or rap here. Also do not try to discuss brutal subgenres, because I would just nod to whatever you have to say.
VIDEO GAME SERIES I LIKE* *This basically means I will go out and pre-order any new game for these series.
This is my favorite game series of all time. I own, have played, and have beaten every single Metroid game at least 3 times (some I have beaten over 30 times).
This is my second favorite game series of all time. This game series defines a part of my childhood. Although my first Pokémon game was Red version (received in 1999), I ardently claim to have grown up with G/S/C. Although Emerald version is still my favorite Pokémon game overall.
Other games and series that tickle my fancy (in no particular order):
Since this is my profile, I have some bragging rights: I am officially certified in Adobe Photoshop and I have a TestOut PC Pro certificate... take with those what you will.

Anyone who is reading this probably knows of my love for the Metroid series. I mean, my username is a direct reference to the series (UltimateRidley), and the only fanfiction I ever went anywhere with (because I actually wanted to) was a Metroid fic. I'm even using a Metroid journal skin, for Keretal's sake. So yeah, you all have a pretty good idea. I haven't posted (or even drawn, truth be told) much Metroid art, but I don't think there is any denying that it has a vague, subconscious influence on my art style--the fact that I state my favorite games to be Metroid Prime and Super Metroid and everyone responds "Oh, NOW I see where your designs come from!" says it all.
To commemorate my love of the Metroid series, I made a list of my Top 10 Music Tracks from the entire series, including both the 2D and 3D games. Originally, I was going to use a bland list style for this, as I do with most of my lists on YouTube, but then I felt that a list of this caliber deserved better. Thus, I downloaded numerous gameplay videos and spent no less than 3 hours editing clips to go with each entry. (With one exception--#9, "Escape!" from the original Metroid, had little to no good gameplay footage. What I could find were all speed runs, meaning they cleared the column within 30 seconds, and each entry is supposed to be 60 seconds.)
